Airmatic Acoustics was the appointed sub contractor chosen to design, manufacture supply and install a large acoustic compound to surround the building services plant at a new Tescos Store in Barnsley. The need for an acoustic louvre as opposed to a normal weather louvre was due to a housing estate which was in close proximity to the new build.
Working alongside the main contractor Airmatic Acoustics designed, manufactured and supplied an acoustic louvre compound that meets the specification stipulated by the appointed acoustic consultant. The performance of this louvre can be seen below:
|Model||Transmission Loss (db) In Octave Bands|
As well as the acoustic performance this type of louvre is designed to give better air movement through the face of the louvre.
In addition to the design and manufacture of the louvre, Airmatic Acoustics also provided all necessary brackets and fixings for the louvre. The install was carried out by our own in house experienced installation team.
The overall performance of the louvre was selected to be in line with the Acoustic consultants specifications. The finished compound was successfully installed successfully within the time allocated in the programme of works and to a professional quality and standard.
